It’s a byproduct of the metro area’s rapid growth and efforts by the city and private developers to keep up. But at what cost? Constant construction is wreaking havoc on downtown businesses:

The loss of parking on North Main has been a challenge for. Its customers have been riding or carrying their bikes for several blocks to get to the store, its front entrance hidden behind tall fences.
