Horrible for Ashanti and her family. In LA, people use these scooters with no physical training and/or safety equipment. Mixing these riders and cars is dangerous. A simple helmet may have prevented this specific tragedy and I hope that she can recover from this.
Feel terrible for her and her family. Scooters are a great last mile solution but without proper infrastructure, it leaves users vulnerable. If she was indeed thrown that far, someone wasn’t following traffic laws. If she was riding in the street and a driver hit her, sue driver
