Millions of Americans live near industries that pollute their neighborhoods and harm their health.

Grijalva spent the last few days in L.A., meeting with community members and advocates from Maywood to Long Beach about the bill.

This bill would change that. And Angelo Logan, a Long Beach resident and long-time environmental justice advocate, said that change is critical. Require that impacted communities be consulted earlier in the process than currently required by the National Environmental Policy Act .
