'A cop's intuition': Bodycam video captures moment mom is found after abducting son

Arrest of Shannon Isbell - Shannon Isbell in the back of the patrol vehicle - Kitsap County Sheriff's Office videoNew body camera footage from the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office in Washington captured an off-duty deputy as he found the mom who abducted her four-year-old child on Sunday.

In the video, you see Buonvino approach the car Isbell was driving and try to get her out of the vehicle. At one point, she turned on the car and tried to escape, but the deputy could reach into the vehicle and turn it off.Isbell had lost custody of her child Teddy, who was in legal custody of his grandparents.

The mother abducted Teddy from their home as he was sleeping and had previously told others she wanted to harm herself and the boy."I don’t plan on leaving my son’s sight for a long time after this,” said Templeton. “Last night, she just crossed all lines. She didn’t even talk to us. She just went straight to the room."

Isbell now faces charges of kidnapping, burglary, resisting arrest, and violation of an anti-harassment order.According to Washington State Patrol , Isbell had recently been released from prison and was homeless when she abducted her child.
