A Colorado police officer is on administrative leave after shooting an armed man in the buttocks though the window of the man's house, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Police went on the night of October 10 to a home to talk with a suspect in an aggravated physical assault case, according to Aurora Police and a probable cause affidavit obtained by CNN affiliate KDVR.When the officers arrived, they say they encountered Andrew Huff, 22, standing next to a truck outside. As officers in uniform approached the house, Huff fled indoors. He then looked out a window of a well-lit room as a responding officer waved at him, police said.

"It's hard to imagine something that's more unnecessary than this," Baumgartner said."Aurora police parked their cars off the street, snuck into Andy Huff's front yard. No identification, no announcement. And they shot him in the back through his window.

What? Cops don't wait for them to come outside anymore? Are cops buying stocks in bulletproof window companies?

I'm closing my freaking drapes!

It is becoming unacceptable police practice what is taken place with this type of police behavior. Police Dpt. need to evaluate their candidates for PTSD, mental issues, racial issues, etc and go back to doing real police work not writing their own laws

seriously you people are concerned about a guy wanted for felonious assault . ridiculous

Copycat cops?

Yipee!!! If cop asked him to drop weapon & he didn't then you'll get shot!!

This sounds 'off.' If a guy facing you while pointing a gun, how in the hell can you shoot him in the as**? Must have been 'turned and pointing'? Or that's one big as**..

CNN acting like this cop did something wrong... The guy was being arrested for multiple assualt charges runs from the police and gets a gun. He is lucky all he got was a bullet in the buttocks.

Georgia man accused of dragging officer with car surrenders'HE DRAGGED ME': Body cam footage shows an officer questioning a man in Georgia, before the driver suddenly hit the gas, knocking the officer to the ground. The officer was not seriously injured and the suspect was arrested the next day. Why wasn’t this guy shot in the head? He probably would of gotten a ticket if everything was in order. Now he’s in a world of trouble and props to the cop for not shooting him first then asking questions later I'm glad no one was hurt, & I'm not condoning the driver's behavior but he may have been genuinely afraid. It may have been a risk he was willing to take. At least he's still alive probably because he was arrested the next day, in daylight.
