Here's what you can get for under $1 million right now, including two studios with extremely high ceilings, a quirky Bed-Stuy two-bedroom, and more

Photo: Shannon Dupre / DD Reps For under a million dollars, one can find all sorts of housing configurations: park-and-subway-adjacent studios, one-bedrooms hidden in carriage houses or former shoe factories, and even the occasional true two-bedroom. With price drops rampant across Manhattan and vacancies high citywide, we’re combing the market for particularly spacious, nicely renovated, or otherwise worth-a-look apartments at various six-digit price points.

The bigger one by the windows is a more conventional Murphy bed, surrounded by a ton of built-in storage. The less obvious bed is snuck in right between the bathroom by the entrance and one wall of the kitchen, which slides to create more space. A few full-width steps separate the open kitchen from the living area, while an open staircase leads up to a lofted office, made possible by 13-foot ceilings.
