CHICAGO -- An 8-year-old girl was shot and killed by a stray bullet in the city's Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side Saturday.
The girl was identified in a statement by the Chicago Teachers Union as Melissa Ortega. She was a student at Emiliano Zapata Academy in Little Village. Ortega was walking with her mother when the alleged shooter was dropped off in a vehicle, got out of the car and began firing, Chicago police said. A 26-year-old man, who police said was the intended target, was also shot in the back and transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.Another 8-year-old-girl was sitting in the backseat of a car when the window was shot out during the shooting, police said. She was not struck.
This Crime scene is blocks from the where the Laquan McDonald Murder happened. Without the amount of CPD Officers picking up the pieces as CPD look like all of two squads as the Criminals know CPD has given up on fighting criminality to depend on the Public snitch for dollars.
Was she wearing a mask? And boosted?
