People jumped from a 25-story residential high-rise in Los Angeles this morning after a fire enveloped the floor.

A suspect is in custody after a raging fire in a 25-story residential high-rise in Los Angeles on Wednesday left eight people injured, including a 3-month-old, the city's fire department said.

Despite initial reports from the fire department that people had jumped from the sixth floor of the building to escape the blaze, officials later said no one had jumped. More than 300 personnel and four helicopters responded to the blaze, the LAFD said. Nearby Santa Monica Fire Department, LAPD, LA Sheriff and allied agencies also responded.

Instead, the department was able to contact people inside the building and instructed them to go to the roof for evacuation, Hogan said. Fifteen people were transported from the roof directly to the hospital, Terrazas said.

Once again, you rushed news out to be the first and your news is FALSE.

When I took a journalism class in high school, which I didn’t fair very well at(lazy), the one thing that stuck with me the most was that you should always have three sources before you start your story.

America has PTSD from people actually jumping from high rises to escape. Journalists NEED to be very careful. When a person is pronounced dead + then wakes up, the person who pronounced them has sealed their professional reputation.

Stop it. Jesus.

Your article literally contradicts the title... 'We had two people who had contemplated jumping,' Hogan said. 'No one jumped. There are no fatalities at this incident.' . I wonder why people get irritated by media 🤷🏻‍♂️

UPDATE: Officials are now saying no one jumped. A suspect is in custody after a raging fire in a 25-story residential high-rise in Los Angeles left eight people injured, including a 3-month-old, the city's fire department said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department have confirmed that no one jumped. Residents were on their balcony getting away from the smoke. But no one jumped.

what a tragedy

Um? No! Fire caption in press conference said nobody jumped. USA Today is FAKE NEWS
