The young girl, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Jaslyn Adams, was shot multiple times, and the man with her was shot in the torso, while in a car at about 4:18 p.m. Sunday on the city's West Side, the Chicago Police Department said. Jaslyn was taken to Stroger Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said. The 29-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition, police said.
