Like many, many others, my family has been social distancing for the past several weeks. In fact our household has essentially been in self-isolation — pretty much the only trips out since this COVID-19 crisis began have been grocery runs. Having five people stuck indoors with two big dogs and two cats can be a challenge. Especially when two of those people are working from home, and the other three are bored teenagers.
In my case, the city has begun a major construction project on our street , and that has meant the past week has also been nonstop chainsaws and rumbling trucks as crews cut down 50+ mature trees.
