A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy at a carnival earlier this month in Wilmington, Delaware.

The victim, Zykier Flowers, was shot at the LEAD Fest Carnival, which was being held in the parking lot of the Concord Mall, backFlowers was one of two teens shot. The other victim, a 17-year-old boy, was treated at the hospital for serious injuries, police say, and has since been released.During the fight, an unknown suspect pulled a gun and fired several shots, hitting the two teenagers.

"It's hard for me, my firstborn. My child lost his life like -- one of the worst phone calls you could ever get," she told Action News. She says her son was an aspiring sports entertainment lawyer and someone who was always willing to do whatever he could to put a smile on the faces of others. He also had big plans, like any teen his age, as he looked ahead to his junior year in high school.

"He just got his ID a month ago. You would've thought it was a license. He was so excited," said Octavia Flowers.Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective B.
