There were 43 other tickets sold that matched the first five white balls and just missed on the red Powerball for the game's second prize. Eight of those players won $2 million while the other 35 players won $1 million apiece.
Of the other 43 who won the second prize, eight of those purchased the Power Play for an extra $1, making their second prizes worth $2 million each. Those eight tickets were sold in Florida , Georgia, Illinois, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Puerto Rico. The remaining 35 second-prize tickets didn't purchase the Power Play, making their tickets worth $1 million each.
