“There was an active shooter incident at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida this morning. The base remains on lockdown. The shooter is confirmed deceased, and two additional fatalities are confirmed," the Navy said in a statement."Multiple injured personnel have been transported to local hospitals. We will continue to work closely with law enforcement agencies."
Eight people injured in the shooting were taken to Baptist Hospital, a hospital spokesperson told ABC News. One of those transferred to the hospital later died from injuries. Two of the injured were officers with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, according to Police Chief David Morgan. A 22-year-old active-duty sailor opened fire on three civilian employees, killing two, before he fatally shot himself at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard near Honolulu on Wednesday, military officials said. The suspected shooter opened fire on shipyard personnel with his M4 service rifle and then used his M9 service pistol to shoot himself, officials said.

For those who were in the Navy soldiers have access to weapons only during training sessions under close supervision and base security. No one else has access to guns. this may have happened bc he was probably being harassed at his command and took it out on someone and himself

Alot of people on here speaking emotionally on issues they know the bare minimum about. Unfamiliar with gun laws, unfamiliar with firearm types and capabilities, unfamiliar with ammunition types and capabilities, etc etc. But guns bad and something is wrong with the US huh?
