4 dead, 5 injured in 'act of violence' in Illinois neighborhood

Illinois authorities arrested a man accused of attacking and stabbing several people in a neighborhood in Rockford, Illinois. Four people are dead and at least five people were hurt in an "act of violence" that happened in Rockford, Illinois neighborhood.

Mayor Tom McNamara called the incident a "random and senseless act of violence" impacting families' lives. One of the victims among the dead was a U.S. postal worker, confirmed an official at Wednesday's news conference at the crime scene.Rockford fire crews took victims from various spots in the area to the hospital, said a fire official.

Caruana said one of his deputies took the suspect into custody when they responded to a home invasion on Florence.
