4 bears killed in East Anchorage campground now being used by homeless residents

In its Wednesday statement, Fish and Game referred to it as “vast areas of bear habitat.” Neighborhoods near the park regularly seeFish and Game’s Anchorage-area biologist, Dave Battle, in the statement called killing bears “a very temporary solution,” adding that “there are always going to be more bears in that vicinity.”

That creates an unsafe situation for both the people staying there now and people staying there in the future, Battle said.

The homeless problem in Anchorage shouldn’t be costing the lives of Alaskas nature. The city of anchorage is like a homeless tent full of spent candy wrappers and filth and different smells for bears ;er I mean homeless humans , let’s clean it up mayor.

The Bears were living outside where they belong, so why not find a Home for Unsheltered people where they can live like Human beings rather than kill the Bears simply for being Bears?

Have you seen San Francisco? These ppl wallow in their own shit, litter is everywhere. Of course they attract bears. These ppl gave up on themselves long ago, why is it the burden of tax payers to care for them? Homeless people need to get their shit together

So this is how Bronson is going to control the homeless population eh? Between wildlife, freeway & putting these people on the fields pissing off Pacific Islanders on weekends massacre will happen.

These bears had to die because we dont want to house our own people. Sad on so many levels
