3M Co. plans to cut 2,000 jobs world-wide as part of a restructuring it has started, the company said Thursday, as business has lagged in key markets this year.
The company said it expects the job cuts, focusing on 3M’s corporate structure and underperforming business lines, would result in between $225 million and $250 million of annual pretax savings.
GM leadership should have used that huge tax cut to retool their factories instead of taking the money and moving to Mexico.
