The 35th annual Make-A-Wish Mother's Day truck convoy was held in Lancaster County on Sunday.A horde of trucks and people came to Manheim, where a convoy of drivers and community members celebrated efforts to grant wishes to children in need. 'Honestly, the event never gets old. There is such an energy here,' said development director of Lancaster, Lori Dietrich. Michael Kindt was the No. 1 driver for the convoy with nearly $37,000 raised.
We do a lot of fundraising for it but there's a lot of pride for everybody here. These are all drivers from years ago that are doing this, and they got their hearts in this and that's all that matters,' Kindt said. In total, nearly 400 trucks and close to 1,000 people participated in the event.
