Nirvana’s ‘Unplugged’ EpisodeUnplugged

debuted November 26, 1989, initially featuring a rotating collection of musicians who played stripped-down versions of their songs. Soon, the series became a showcase for the channel’s biggest acts — everybody from LL Cool J to Bruce Springsteen to Mariah Carey — but its artistic zenith was Nirvana's appearance almost exactly four years later.
