At least three are dead and more injured from a pair of shootings south of downtown on Monday night.

Fort Worth police, seen here in the Stockyards, are investigating a shooting in the Como neighborhood following a Fourth of July celebrationThree people are dead and at least eight more wounded after a shooting last night in Fort Worth, according to police. The shooting took place just before midnight following the annual ComoFest, a neighborhood Fourth celebration held southwest of downtown Fort Worth.

“Fort Worth Police Department Captain Shawn Murray said the crime scene spanned a couple of blocks in the area of Diaz Avenue and Horne Street,” according to NBC 5. Fort Worth police are also investigating a separate shooting from late Monday night, in the Polytechnic Heights neighborhood, where three people were injured and are now recovering.,"I am devastated by the news of a mass shooting in Fort Worth last night. My heart breaks for the victims, their loved ones, and the entire Como community that works to build positivity and celebration in their community and our city.
