3 infant deaths at hospital linked to tainted donor breast milk

Contaminated donor breast milk turned out to be the culprit in an incident last month in which eight premature infants were infected with bacteria in a neonatal intensive care unit of a Pennsylvania hospital. Three of those infants died.

The hospital has since switched to single-use equipment for distributing donor milk and hasn't had any new infections since that change. Hartle stressed that breast milk is the best food for infants, including premature ones, and that mothers should have no concerns about the safety of their own breast milk.

Proving Breast isn’t always best. It’s like tainted Blood donors. Better Screening must used.

This isn't the first time a hospital using a specific item for more than one time has caused death. There should be a law the hospital uses an item one time and throws it out.

It’s not the breast milk itself, but the equipment. Be accurate

Did anyone at the hospital conspire to cover up this story, in the manner that ABC did ? 1. ABC killed the Epstein story three years ago. 2. ABC goes after the ABC employee - whistleblower. 3. ABC colludes with CBS, woman's new employer, to have the whistleblower fired.

wnep reported (local to Geisinger) that the equipment that prepared the donor milk was contaminated & there was no protocol to clean that equipment. GeisingerHealth was cited by the DOH. Geisinger now uses single-use equip. but still diverts 32 week babies to other hosp.
