I've been an avid Kindle user for years, but when I saw this version, I knew it was time to upgrade. The main selling point is the fact that this one is waterproof. So waterproof, in fact, that it can be in up to 2 meters of fresh water for more than 60 minutes. Plus, it's lighter, has more storage, and the battery lasts for WEEKS. I took this on vacation with me a while ago and was so impressed.
I love that I can buy/rent books from Amazon easily as well as use the Overdrive app through the library. I am not a technology savvy person, and I find the process very simple. I use this without and case and am very rough on it, and have had it almost a year at this point, and it hasn’t scratched at all. The only thing I wish they’d improve is to not have the on/off button on the bottom of the kindle. It makes it difficult to prop up on a hard surface and read without it turning off." —
