EUCLID, Ohio - Euclid police said the department is investigating the deadly shooting of a 28-year-old man.
According to police, the shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. Thursday in the 21200 block of Priday Avenue.The victim’s father, also named Robert White, believes his son tried to step in and help a woman he was in a relationship with, who was being physically abused by another man.White would have turned 29 later this month, according to his father, who stood at the scene, stunned that his son had been lost to violence on the streets.
Robert White was consoled by his sister as they watched detectives work the scene of the crime on Friday morning, and said he would try and find a way move on without his son. “Let God help you, got to have faith, and know that justice is going to be served,” he said, “And we just got to come to come together and try to fix what the problem is because it’s unnecessary and it’s just stupid stuff.”This is a developing story and will be updated.
