He’s been at the Lovers Lane restaurant since Day One, first as assistant manager. “It was kind of my baby,” Harman says. “It’s been a hard week.” Harman’s father bought Sonny Bryan’s in 1999. At the time, the company was a single restaurant on Inwood Road. That historic place has fed Julia Child, Rachael Ray, Emeril Lagasse, Dean Fearing and Bobby Flay. It was a meet-up spot for a recentand has been a staple Dallas barbecue spot for more than six decades. That restaurant is going strong, Harman says.
Harman hopes customers from the Lovers Lane restaurant drive south on Inwood Road for barbecue next time they get a hankering.
