sibling, one key area where the UrbanRebel will look to distinguish itself from the ID.2 will be with its design.
It gives off a strong, chunky SUV look with a sharp front end and heavily sculpted bodywork – as seen on the. Size-wise, the UrbanRebel is 4.0m long, 2.0m wide and 1.6m high. That makes it a similar length and width to the e-208. Being based on bespoke electric car underpinnings, the UrbanRebel should have a flat floor inside – which is good news for leg room – because there’s no need for components such as a gearbox tunnel as you would find on a petrol or diesel powered car.
Inside, the UrbanRebel has a big-car feel, with a floating centre console, curved infotainment display and hidden air vents. The interior design is very driver focused, giving it a sportier feel. What’s more, many of the materials used will be made of recycled and sustainable materials. Pricing and specifications are yet to be confirmed, but we expect the UrbanRebel to start from approximately £25,000 for the lower-powered version with the smaller battery, and £30,000 for the more powerful 231bhp model with the larger battery. That means it should undercut the Peugeot e-208, which starts at £29,760.Alongside the UrbanRebel, Cupra has previewed two other new SUVs: the Terramar and the Tavascan.
