Officials at the Memorial Tournament announced Sunday that Juli Inkster and the late Tom Weiskopf have been selected as honorees for the 2024 Memorial Tournament.

"I am so pleased that the Captains Club has chosen to honor Juli and Tom, two wonderful players who were fine amateurs and went on to impressive professional careers," Memorial Tournament founder and host Jack Nicklaus said. "Each has made meaningful contributions to the game, and I could not be more delighted to see them recognized next year at Muirfield Village Golf Club."

Juli Inkster has made 11 appearances in the Solheim Cup over the years, having served as U.S. captain for three, and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2000. Inkster is also one of only six people to have completed the LGPA career grand slam. “Juli has established herself not only as one of golf history’s great players, but as one of the great ambassadors and stewards of the game,” Jack Nicklaus said. “Always leading with her infectious personality and enthusiasm, Juli has impacted the game through her play and captaincy in the Solheim Cup, as well as through her valuable input as a member of the Captains Club for the Memorial Tournament.

Tom Weiskopf, who passed away in 2022 will be honored posthumously. An Ohio native, Weiskopf racked up 16 wins in all on the PGA Tour and won four Champions titles in his time, including a win over Jack Nicklaus in 1995. He also served as a television analyst for ABC, ESPN, and CBS. “Tom Weiskopf left us too soon," Nicklaus said. "but he left behind a legacy as a champion, accomplished course designer and broadcaster. It is a privilege for us at the Memorial Tournament and for the Central Ohio patrons to pay tribute to Tom, who was born in Ohio and is one of the great players to come through Ohio State."Inkster and Weiskopf will be the 82nd and 83rd honorees at the Memorial Tournament, which will enter its 49th year in 2024.
