The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is arriving at dealers now, with a $38,995 starting price for the base, LS trim.The all-new crossover adds the off-road-centric Z71 package to the option list, which comes with 18-inch wheels and a special Terrain drive mode.The new, standard power unit is a 2.5-liter turbocharged I4 that sends 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic. The world of three-row crossovers has changed dramatically since the Traverse's first launch in 2009.
The system was more aggressive than it needed to be at times and initiated a lane change despite going the same speed as the vehicle ahead. Regardless of those small gaffs, the system is surprisingly competent and does a great job at transitioning from hands-free mode to hands-on driving. The Traverse also adds the Z71 package for the first time. This Z71-equipped Traverse comes with a set of 18-inch wheels that are wrapped in 265/65R18 Goodyear Wranglers.
