2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV vs. Equinox EV: What’s the Difference Between These Electric SUVs?

As Chevrolet works to get these EVs on the street, here's an overview of the similarities and differences between the Equinox EV and Blazer EV.Most Equinox EV models will have a single motor powering the front wheels, though dual-motor, all-wheel-drive versions will be available. That's also true of the Blazer.

When plugged into a DC fast charger, the Blazer's 190-kW maximum charge rate tops the Equinox's 150-kW peak. On an AC Level 2 charger, both can take on 11.5 kW—except the Equinox 3RS eAWD, which can do 19.2 kW.Both the Blazer and Equinox come with an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster display. The Equinox has an 11.0-inch infotainment touchscreen as standard, and a whopping 17.7-inch unit is available. That big screen is standard on every Blazer model.

I'll be surprised if GM can hit that price point. The Lyriq was introduced at $49k, it's now $64k.

The Equinox is well-suited for minivan duty and the Blazer isn’t much of a Blazer, so I wouldn’t notice either of these cars on the road. Maybe I would notice the Blazer nameplate and think of what could’ve been.

Blazer is better... that's the difference.

2024 is a long ways off and the 30 K will be about 40 K.

Everyone at Chevy should be fired, including the janitor, for going in this direction with the Blazer. Probably the greatest missed opportunity in auto making history.

Interesting, the Blazer EV will come in FWD, RWD and AWD variations.

No interest in a FWD only SUV, which the new Equinox is in lower trims. It is cheaper for a reason.

I think I like the Equinox EV the best. Not crazy about the Blazer SS though. Looks nothing like its predecessors at all and way too modern looking to sport the SS badge.
