, this time with news that it has broken the lap record for front-wheel drive cars at Suzuka Circuit.
A big fan of setting lap records, the previous generation Honda Civic Type R lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes 43.8 seconds in 2017, the fastest of any front-wheel drive car, before going to break a further five lap records at circuits around Europe.
Outside, the American-spec saloon body will be ditched in favour of the hatchback body, but its styling will be similar, with previously seen images of the actual Type R giving us plenty of clues as to what we should expect when it arrives next year. What we can tell you is that first and foremost, the new Civic Type R’s overall proportions will remain largely unchanged from the previous model, which is both longer and wider than a majority of its rivals.
Quite a statement that it is quicker than the LE and not just a 'normal' FK8 Type-R too imo
Buy the Civic sport and save on insurance and running costs. Type r isn't a type r anzmoee just a badge now cus that's all Honda people did buy the badge and as a company Honda doesn't the difference between fake and poor so all it is a badge and a body kit since all u biught.
Honda own Suzuka racetrack so probably won’t allow others to try and beat that lap 😂👍
Looks to have more cohesive body styling compared with its predecessor (& maybe generation prior?) so gets my vote👍..... if I could afford one!😁
Looks more like an Honda Accord than a Civic Vtecjustkickedin
