Two people native to Northeast Ohio died following a two-car crash on I-71, just south of Mansfield, early Sunday morning that left two others dead and a fifth hospitalized, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -

Troopers say 32-year-old Larry Dotson, of Canton, and 32-year-old Marlee Middleton, of Massillon, occupied the 2020 Hyundai Tuscon that was driving northbound in the southbound lanes at approximately 2:38 a.m. in Morrow County, which is about 45 minutes north of Columbus. The Hyundai then struck a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee occupied by the 26-year-old driver, a 31-year-old woman and a 50-year-old woman, troopers say.

The crash killed Dotson, Middleton, the 31-year-old woman and the 50-year-old woman after both cars overturned and caught fire. Troopers identified the 31-year-old and 50-year-old as Cristal Olvera and Ivonne Olvera, respectively, both of Columbus.OSHP says investigators have not determined whether the use of drugs and/or alcohol contributed to the crash, which remains under investigation.4-year-old Strongsville girl taken off life support after common cold symptoms quickly worsened
