2 injured, 13 displaced after fire breaks out at Tacoma apartment building

January 29, 2022 at 8:32 am PSTTACOMA, Wash. — Two people were injured after a fire broke out at an apartment building in Tacoma early Saturday morning.

Crews arrived at the scene in the 1200 block of North Pearl Street around 3 a.m. and saw flames and smoke spreading across the second floor of the three-story apartment building. The fire eventually spread to the third floor of the building before crews were able to get it under control. Two people were injured as a result of the fire and were transported in stable condition to a local hospital.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
