Laurie was originally played by Lisa Robin Kelly in the first three seasons. She left the show and the character wasn't mentioned again until she returned in the fifth season. Kelly came back for four episodes and then was replaced by Christina Moore in season six, who only lasted six episodes.

I'm mad I read this, cause it was crap. Thought it was a buzzfeed community post. But then it wasnt. Having to Retweet garbage like this is was happens when you fire your news room and actual talent.
A lot of those things did make sense though, like the woman that played Eric’s sister was gone from the show because she was getting movie gigs. And I’m pretty sure she was also an alcoholic, and was in rehab a couple of times. Just saying.
Okay, it does make sense that Hyde’s dad was black because first off his mom was white, and if there’s a white gene in his pool he can turn out to be white. For example, in the book “The Help”, one of the ladies had had a white baby of though she was black.
