We've tried several types of litters for our cat while attempting to find a natural alternative to the store-bought clay popular brands. This has been the best we've personally found.
The wood pieces are large enough to where they don't track any more than a regular litter. It does have a dust kick up when it's poured, but we have a covered litter box and otherwise do not see litter dust anywhere, just the wood pieces. It smells like wood and it's very clean, not at all chemically. It does clump pee fairly well. Not as well as clay litter does, but well enough to do a decently good box cleaning job.
