A 13-year-old boy bicycling home from a candy store with a friend was struck by a pickup truck and killed Friday evening in
Derringer said the other boy, on a separate bike, also was struck by the pickup. He suffered minor injuries and was taken by family members to a hospital. He is also 13 and lives in Buffalo Township.The bicycles and the pickup were traveling west when the crash occurred just before 7 p.m. on Cole Road, Derringer said.
