-- An 11-year-old girl fighting for her life after being shot by a stray bullet on Monday evening.
The incident happened at 166th Street and and Fox Street in the Longwood section of the borough, CBS2's Dick Brennan reported. Police said some men on mopeds were driving by and suddenly opened fire on another man who was standing on the street. Witnesses said the girl was outside a nail salon with her family at around 5 p.m. when the gunfire broke out. She apparently hid behind a car, but still would up getting shot. She then ran into the nail salon with a gunshot would to the chest and passed out."She stopped responding, so we ended up zipping down and saw the gun wound and it wasn't heavy blood, but because the bullet was right there," one woman said.
