Rep. Terri Sewell. D- Birmingham announced this week that she has secured an $11.7 million federal grant for the city of Fairfield to construct additional multiuse paths and mobility hubs. The grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation through its Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity program and comes as cities across the Birmingham metro look for ways to create new greenspace.
