She started the show at 725 pounds and has undergone a life-changing weight loss journey, losing 420 pounds. It wasn’t easy for Tammy to lose weight. She struggled with her mental health and often missed the weight requirements to apply for weight loss surgery.

Things took a turn for the worse for Tammy when she began drinking and partying excessively. Because of her weight, Tammy was not able to leave the house. She turned to alcohol and smoking in those times to cope with her struggles. On 1000-Lb Sisters, Tammy was shown vaping, eating pizza, and even pouring shots for her friends. During this time, she admitted that she would consume eight bottles of alcohol a week.

Tammy transformed her life during rehab in more ways than one. At the facility, Tammy found love with fellow patient Caleb Willingham. They supported each other in their weight loss journeys. In November 2022, Tammy and Caleb were married. As Tammy continued to lose weight, Caleb’s health began declining. Tammy would end up being discharged from rehab in February 2023, and she entered a long-distance relationship with Caleb.

Tammy has been able to enjoy more time with her family since her weight loss transformation. She accomplished a huge goal during season 5 of 1000-Lb Sisters when she joined her family for a boat ride. In a season 5 sneak peek trailer posted by ET, Tammy enjoyed the boat ride with her nephew and even saw dolphins on the ride. “It’s almost like she’s a little kid again,” said Amanda Halterman about Tammy. In her posts on social media, Tammy is visibly much happier.
