The man accused of intentionally ramming two police car s and then leading officers on a dangerous pursuit for 30 miles was officially charged with a slew of crimes on Monday.
"Certainly, cases like this one, where we see such concerning and reckless behavior, we are going to rush file charges every time," said Douglas Wagoner, King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.when officers said they spotted Wilburn driving a stolen GMC Yukon in the vicinity of the Factoria Mall. According to court papers, officers used two police patrol vehicles to block Wilburn in and prevent him from escaping.
In footage captured by the King County Sheriff's Office Guardian One helicopter, Wilburn is accused of deliberately driving the wrong way on the freeway. As a result, a dramatic video showed dozens of motorists narrowly avoiding collisions with him.
