These Pokémon somehow avoided an anime debut.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Pokémon anime starring Ash Ketchum ran for a whopping 1,232 episodes, and there are currently "only" 1,025 Pokémon in existence, so it seems like the anime could easily have included every species. Yet, despite the ample opportunities, there are still a surprising number of Pokémon who have slipped through the cracks, meaning Ash never had a chance to meet these species.

9 Barraskewda Was Relegated to a Miniseries Type: Water Close Barraskewda is the evolved form of Arrokuda, and is a slightly more uncommon sight than its lower form. It's known for blasting forward with its propeller-like fins, racing towards targets like a missile in the water. Arrokuda appeared in the episode "Just A Scone's Throw From Here!", where it was produced by the Rocket Prize Master for use by Team Rocket's Jessie and James.

Polteageist would be lucky enough to be the star of episode 30 of Pokémon Horizons, where it was found to be leaving wet spots around the ship, and intruded upon the ship-bound Pokémon's secret fight club. Interestingly, Polteageist is shown reproducing in this episode without the use of Pokémon eggs, creating Antique-form Sinistea by pouring its liquid into an authentic antique cup owned by Liko's grandmother.

Corvisquire does show up briefly in the Twilight Wings miniseries, and similarly has a small appearance in Pokémon Horizons episode 15, where Roy's Wattrel spots one and follows it. The Corvisquire leads him into Levincia city in the Paldea region, where the villain they're searching for is hiding. It's certainly odd that Corvisquire was left out while the other members of its evolutionary family appeared throughout Journeys.
