Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Hugh Jackman's Wolverine has had some iconic quotes across his various movie appearances. Having first debuted in 2000's X-Men, Jackman's Wolverine has one of the most impressive legacies in the entire superhero movie genre. As such, it's fun to look back at some of his most epic lines, especially considering his tenure is not yet complete 24 years later.
10 "You’re a D***." X-Men The first X-Men movie begins with both Rogue and Wolverine joining the ranks of Charles Xavier's X-Men as they battle the threat of Erik Lehnsherr's Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants. As such, the movie wastes no time in establishing the classic rivalry between Logan and Scott Summers' Cyclops, especially due to their shared attraction to Jean Grey.
8 "Sometimes When You Cage The Beast, The Beast Gets Angry." X-Men: The Last Stand The Last Stand largely focuses on Jean Grey losing herself to the Phoenix. In the original trilogy of X-Men films, the Phoenix was a part of Jean's psyche that had become its own volatile alternate personality thanks to Charles Xavier who'd attempted to lock away and control Jean's darker impulses from an early age.
6 "I’m Gonna Cut Your G**D*** Head Off. See If That Works." X-Men Origins: Wolverine Thrown back into the mix after the apparent death of his love interest Kayla, Logan begins a revenge quest for Victor after escaping Weapon X in X-Men Origins. Armed with his new adamantium claws, Logan eventually finds Sabretooth who asks Logan if he even knows how to kill him. As a result, Logan's line about starting with a decapitation is as savage as it is incredibly badass.
4 "What Kind Of Monster Are You? The Wolverine." The Wolverine Facing the son of the Silver Samurai, Wolverine duels Shingen Yashida immediately after restoring his healing factor which had been compromised by Viper in 2013's The Wolverine. Although he'd done his best to avoid violence ever since killing Jean Grey in The Last Stand, The Wolverine sees Logan embracing his purpose despite his darkness.
Subsequently, Man took Wolverine even further by using said gifts and turning him into a living weapon. The last line about God is just as compelling, representing Logan's perspective that he's been on this Earth for far longer than he ever should. As such, it makes Logan's ending that much more satisfying and heart-rending all at the same time.
