My folks both died of sepsis, mostly because doctors wouldn't listen to their complaints. Mom's was a rip-roaring bladder infection & dad's guts burst after wks of complaints of abdominal pain while IN the hospital. I'm a nurse-knew what was going on. They wouldn't listen.

Oh, I've heard of it. My wife passed away suddenly in the hospital last year & that was listed as the cause of death. I asked the doctors how that was possible when they had her on IV antibiotics & they basically said, 'There was nothing we could do.' It was quite a blow.
