One person is dead and three were injured after three separate shootings happened within one hour in Jacksonville Beach, Florida Sunday, according to authorities.said the shootings happened after several hundred teens, around 250-400, had gathered under the Jacksonville Beach Pier for organized fights.
The first shooting was reported at 7:50 p.m. near the Best Western Hotel when two people started firing guns, Police Chief Gene Paul said during a news conference Monday. Three people were injured with two in serious condition and another in stable condition, police added. One suspect opened fire before running away.
At 8:13 p.m., a second shooting erupted in the parking lot outside the Ritz Bar when a suspect in a ski mask opened fire before dumping the pistol, police reported. Police recovered the weapon and no one was injured in the shooting. The third and last shooting occurred around 8:31 p.m. outside Sneakers Bar where police said three suspects pulled guns on each other and an innocent bystander was killed.
