One person died and one was injured in a multi-unit apartment fire Sunday morning, according to the Houston Fire Department.
The fire impacted multiple residences in the north Houston apartment building. A woman in one unit died, and a man from a different apartment unit was taken to an emergency room to be treated for smoke inhalation and first degree burns, according to fire department officials.Firefighters arrived at the complex around 9:30 a.m. to find fire and smoke coming from the building. Houston Fire Department crews made an offensive attack on the fire, extinguishing it, officials said.
As of 2 p.m., the cause of the fire was undetermined and firefighters were still investigating the fire at 910 Lehman Street.
