An autistic woman took her own life following "systemic failings" in her care, a coroner has concluded.An inquest heard she was discharged from hospital weeks earlier with no clear follow-up plan.
Over a four-year period from 2016, she was taken to A&E 37 times, mostly after taking an overdose, and in 2019 was sectioned under the Mental Health Act. "Her death was contributed to by actions and inactions by clinicians in a care system that was underdeveloped to manage an autistic individual with complex needs," he said.
Care is failing because the Government are failing Care! It's not that the carers don't care, but the Government don't care about the carers! Failings are a feature of a failing system that can see it's failing, but those with power to stop it failing, fail to see it...
