YouTube turns off comments on videos of children amid child safety fears

YouTube will turn off comments on all videos that contain young children, the company says, as well as a number of other enforcement actions designed to stave off an advertiser boycott sparked by the discovery of an organised paedophile ring operating in plain sight on the video-sharing platform.

Should ban children videos especially when the uploader is underaged

Should have already been done. Why do you need comments for children videos? You are just asking for trouble.

At least they are trying to take action to safeguard children, However I can’t help but feel the internet access kids have is a poisoned chalice in many ways.

I found it on my 13 yo Daughters phone. It's either under 16's doing overtly sexualised video, or Romanian migrants throwing fake £50 notes about. Either way, it is not good.
