A young schoolgirl, a man and a woman have been injured in a violent knife attack early this morning.
Police have cordoned off a residential street in Whernside, Carlisle following a stabbing where a schoolgirl, a man and a woman have been injured A police officer in the area of the stabbing. Cumbria Constabulary confirmed there was no further risk to the public but police would remain in the areaPolice said both the 55-year-old man and the 53-year-old woman who had been arrested had been injured and were being treated in hospital.
