Coronavirus: Year groups kept isolated in back-to-school plan

The idea is to minimise the points of contact that could allow infections to spread - and does not primarily rely on enforcing social distancing.

But it also means if there is an infection - either in a class or a year group - that all the children could have to be sent home. But Kirsty said:"Everything has got to start to go back to some sort of normal sooner or later. I do wonder why they bother with “announcements”, if everything is going to be leaked in advance.

I’m all for getting the kids backtoschool in September & understand the challenge of social distancing enforcement. However I’m not sure who they are trying to appease by keeping year groups seperated. There are tens if not hundreds of cross year siblings in each school COVID19

Bubbles of 280 or 300 or 340...... that doesn't sound like much of a bubble.

Because of course, the THE SCIENCE HAS CHANGED? The virus DOESN'T pass easier at less than 2m in enclosed spaces, asymptomatic children DON'T pass it on to the older teachers, assistants, clerical, admin, cleaning staff IN increasingly colder weather what could possibly go wrong?
