XDefiant players are calling DedSec’s spider bot “the worst thing ever made”

XDefiant, Ubisoft’s latest competitive FPS offering, and its factions are fittingly made up of several of the studio’s IPs, including Far Cry, The Division, Splinter Cell, and more. Each one also has two unique skills you can choose from before the start of a match that can often give your team a crucial advantage. Based on recent community reactions, however, one particular XDefiant ability is standing out for all the wrong reasons: DedSec’s spider bot.

With this in mind, you can see how the spider bot’s chaotic tendencies prompt complaints from players like u/JohnOsako. Luckily, like any old ability, the spider bot has its weaknesses; you can shoot it while it’s still scampering on the ground, or you can shoot it off your teammate’s face. However, its small size and the game’s fast-paced nature make it difficult to see everything happening around you.
