The baby's mother, Sarah Andrews, says she was"failed in the most cruel way" by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and that management was warned about safety but"failed to act".An NHS trust has been fined £800,000 for a"catalogue of failings and errors" that led to the death of a baby 23 minutes after she was born.
"My assessment is that the level of culpability is high, where offences on Wynter and Mrs Andrews are concerned. However, she said she was"acutely aware" that any fine would have to be paid out of public funds which would otherwise be spent on patient care.by the trust and that its management was"repeatedly warned by staff about safety at the unit" but"failed to act".
If we just have the doctors and nurses more money they wouldn’t be so negligent
You know if the government is accusing them of imperfect care it gives the patient the right to sue. The problem with suing you can never get over the loss of the baby in this case.
Heartbreaking. Our thoughts and love are with the family. 💛
