WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is now a free agent

where he lost a WWE Universal Championship match to Roman Reigns.He had returned to the company in 2016 after over a decade away from wrestling, with his first match taking place at Survivor Series where he would defeat Brock Lesnar in under two minutes.

At Fastlane in 2017 he would capture the Universal Championship for the first time when he defeated Kevin Owens. During his WWE run, Goldberg would have 12 matches, including participating in the 2017 Royal Rumble.last month, Goldberg hinted that he still has one more match left in him."You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one," Goldberg said."That's all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match.

Speaking about the fans' reaction to his return to WWE, Goldberg said:"The tenacity of wrestling fans is unparalleled. I'm not going to sit here and say that I owe them everything, but I sure as hell am close. It's an honor to be remembered and supported by such a group of people. There is such a fever pitch in the passion of the fans. To be part of that, I'm blessed."
