Women are generally much better at managing their emotions in a constructive & positive way whereas many (most?) men tend to suppress their feelings and/or only express them in negative ways.
I see Sky have already decided to ban any comments in support of this manager! Watch any show like the apprentice for example and when it reaches the tough interview stage, all the women cry, because they are more emotional! You never see the men crying!
